iDrawlix® Mobile for Android is the unique iDrawlix® App which starts to support the Imperial Units measure System, fulfilling the requests of our US customers.
THE PLAYGROUND CONCEPT
iDrawlix® APPs are based on the Playground concept. The iDrawlix® Playground allows users approaching design and verification of partially full conduits or open channels flow problems to immediately experiment what happens to their project at any change in the settings, without the burden of building complex ad hoc models in order to get graphics and tables out of it.
Under Android, we chosen to provide iDrawlix® Mobile with the "Top Seven" types of cross section:
- Egg shaped – Old England Style;
- Egg shaped – Standard Style;
- Box with a triangular bottom;
As one can see, within each cross section of iDrawlix® Mobile for Android, Users can choose two different roughness coefficients. One for the bottom and one for the sides. That can be useful in order to characterise two real different material composing any cross section, or conversely, to model the correct behavior of the cross section bottom in two different stages of his life cycle.
Indeed, is well known that with the time, the roughness coefficient characterising a certain material, can vary severely, assuming values sensibly far from his initial ones.
Furthermore, especially for sewers, it happens that the presence of sediments, due to the lack of self cleanising velocity, impose the necessity to have a correct model, in order to forecast the most real possible behavior of a certain sewer branch.

Main Options Menu
Four calculation models are available:
(GS) Gaukler & Strikler;
(CB) Chezy - Bazin;
(CK) Chezy - Kutter;
User can select:
(IS) International System or
(IU) Imperial Units.
Note how the title bar remember to the User the active options, showing the acronym as above.
Roughness coefficient list
Tap on the correspondent material and back to the Geometry Activity with the mean value into the suggested range.
1: Stage Discharge Button. Tapping on, leads to the Stage Discharge Activity. See further.
2: HGL - Hydraulic Grade Line. Tapping on, leads to the Hydraulic Grade Line Activity. See further.
3: Geometry Area. Display current geometric characteristics.
4: Playground Area. According with the current geometric characteristics, this area shows the max flow which the current cross section is able to carry downstream, coupled with the corresponding depth, under normal conditions.
Sliding the cursor, User can immediately perceive how the flow varies within the chosen cross section. Computed Normal depth (yn) as well as Normal Flow (Qn) are also displayed numerically.
5: Share/Export Graph Button. User can save the current image shown.
6: Share/Export Table Button. User can save the current geometric characteristics as a table readably with any spreadsheet as Excel or Sheets.
